How to choose the right flame retardant cable? Now let us tell you  the choice of flame retardant wire and cable is the aspect that should be noted:
(1) Because halogen-containing flame-retardant cables (including flame-retardant cables, low-halogen and low-smoke flame-retardant cables) will release corrosive halogen acid gas during incineration, greatly preventing fire fighting work and then delaying the fire fighting moment and aggravating the fire extension. Halogen-free low-smoke flame-retardant cables should be planned as much as possible in public places with high population density.
(2) Any flame retardant cable can be selected in the operation area with small population density.
(3) Flame-retardant cables are classified into categories A, B, and C3. The function of Class A flame-retardant cables is better than those of Class B and C, and the price is also the most expensive. Planners should indicate the type of flame retardant cable when ordering the inventory.
(4) The categories A, B, and C of the flame-retardant cable cannot be distinguished from the appearance. As long as the manufacturer ensures the supply, the cable manufacturer should be selected carefully when planning and selecting.
(5) Compared with halogen-containing flame-retardant cables, halogen-free low-smoke flame-retardant cables have the advantages of low corrosion and low smoke, but the electrical and mechanical functions are significantly reduced, so halogen-free low-smoke flame retardant is used in cable laying. The cable should have a larger tortuous radius than the halogen-containing flame retardant cable.
(6) When carrying out cable laying planning, it is not advisable to lay non-flame retardant cables and flame-retardant cables side by side. It is not appropriate to lay flame-retardant cables of different flame retardant categories side by side.
